R.I.P. ‘Pepe’ 2007 – 2012
Been holding off on posting this until some of the “sting” subsided… Our youngest cat “Pepe” whom we acquired through a twist of fate (got separated from his mother and locked in our garage about 5 years ago)… checked out just as suddenly this past Sunday. We heard a huge crash against our bedroom door, opened the door to find him dead. Cause of death is unknown. From the sound of him crashing into the door to the time we opened it to find him, was literally seconds, nothing anyone could have done for him. This was a hard loss particular for Jennifer and Nicki as he was very close to them. Jennifer frequently commented how he had “dog DNA” as he would play fetch and come when called just like a pooch. He would typically sleep with Nicki at night. The old boy will be missed. Rough year for pets… Maris became non-responsive about 2 months ago. We took her into the Vet and they couldn’t even get a temperature from her. Said there was nothing they could do and that she was in severe pain which is why she wouldn’t move at all, so we had her put [...read more...]
